Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor has it been submitted to another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses). Illustrations, figures and tables should be submitted separately in jpeg or PDF. Please ensure that you highlight or cite the position of the figures and tables within the article.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • All authors have approved the submission of this article.
  • Authors Declare No Conflict of Interest. In the case of Conflict of Interest, the author pledges to attach a declaration stating the conditions therewith.

General Guidelines

Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts according to internationally recognized scientific and bibliographic standards.

Manuscripts must be clear, concise, and written in professional English. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of all data, references, and statements included in the manuscript.

Formatting Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be submitted in Word format
  • Use double spacing throughout the document
  • Apply 30 mm margins on all sides
  • Use a standard, readable font

Title Page

The first page must include:

  • Full title of the manuscript
  • Authors’ names (last name and initials)
  • Institutional affiliations
  • Corresponding author details (email, address)

Abstract and Keywords

  • An abstract is required for all article types except Letters to the Editor
  • The abstract should summarize the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions
  • Provide 3–6 keywords for indexing purposes

Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should generally be organized as follows:

  • Abstract
  • Introduction
  • Materials and Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusions
  • Acknowledgements (if applicable)
  • References

The structure may vary depending on the article type.

References

References must follow standard scientific citation formats.

In-text citation

  • References must be cited using numbers in parentheses (e.g., (1), (2))

Reference list

  • Listed in numerical order at the end of the manuscript
  • Journal titles must follow Index Medicus abbreviations

For more than 8 authors, list the first 3 followed by et al.

Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures must be cited in the text
  • Tables should use Roman numerals
  • Figures should use Arabic numerals

Tables

  • Include a short descriptive title

Figures

  • Submit as separate files (JPG or PDF)
  • Include clear legends

Units and Abbreviations

  • Use the SI (International System of Units)
  • Define abbreviations at first use
  • Avoid excessive or uncommon abbreviations

Language and Style

  • Use clear, formal scientific language
  • Avoid redundancy and overly complex sentences
  • Ensure grammatical accuracy

Authors who are not native English speakers are strongly encouraged to have their manuscript professionally edited prior to submission.

Ethical and Bibliographic Standards

Authors must adhere to:

  • ICMJE guidelines
  • COPE standards

All sources must be properly cited, and plagiarism in any form is not accepted.

Final Check Before Submission

Before submitting, authors should ensure that:

  • The manuscript complies with formatting guidelines
  • All authors are correctly listed
  • References are accurate and complete
  • Figures and tables are correctly labeled

Adhering to these guidelines ensures consistency, facilitates peer review, and improves the overall quality of published articles.
