Abstract

Diode lasers are one of the most used techniques among energy-based devices due to their efficacy and wide applicability in cosmetic procedures. Best known and used application is permanent hair reduction, however they are also suitable for rejuvenation, treating scars, small vessels and pigmented lesions with a favorable safety profile. The variety of indications increases the favorable marketability of these processes and equipment. In this review article, we summarize the indications, contraindications, possible side effects, efficacy, cost effectiveness of diode laser procedures.
