Abstract

Tinea faciei is a rare skin disease that occurs on the face. Some treatment measures could change the clinical features and worsen the situation. During the years topical corticosteroids are commonly used and abused not only by patients but from other not specialized health professionals as well resulting in different clinical features of the disease. Topical and/ or antimycotic treatment remains effective for tinea superficialis. We present a case of facial tinea in a patient who presented at our Institution after being treated at Primary Health Care Institution.
