Abstract

Chemical peelings are commonly used in cosmetic dermatology. Although a large number of studies in literature have demonstrated that chemical peels are effective and well tolerated for different skin conditions, various adverse effects have been reported. Herein, we present a practical narrative review on superficial, medium and depth peeling, as well as the management of side effects related to the use of different peel types.
